Frequently Asked Questions
Shopping & Custom Orders: Questions & Answers
Everything you need to know about purchasing, custom commissions, workshop kits, and shipping.
How do I purchase or commission items from Molela Terracotta?
For custom wall murals, temple panels, and architectural plaques, send your wall dimensions or preferred reference via WhatsApp. Our master artisans provide sketches, quotes, and timelines. For DIY workshop kits and select pottery items, you can buy directly through our official online store.
How are fragile terracotta murals packaged for nationwide and international shipping?
Every tile is individually wrapped in multi-layer shock-absorbent foam and heavy-duty bubble wrap, then packed into custom reinforced wooden crates with cushioned dividers. All shipments are insured and dispatched via trusted express logistics partners.
Can I request bespoke designs or custom dimensions?
Yes. Because all pieces are hand-sculpted without mechanical molds, we can customize dimensions, relief depth, motifs, and finishes (raw terracotta or traditional mineral painted) to perfectly match your architectural drawings.
What is included in the Molela Terracotta Workshop Clay Kit?
The kit contains 1 kg of authentic prepared Molela alluvial clay, a 9″ × 9″ plywood sculpting board, and 100g of fine wood dust—everything needed to sculpt your own traditional terracotta relief tile at home.
Can institutions, colleges, and schools book workshops with Dinesh Chandra Kumhar?
Yes. Master artisan Dinesh Chandra Kumhar conducts live terracotta sculpting demonstrations, masterclasses, and certified courses for design institutes (such as NIFT, NID), schools, architectural colleges, and cultural events across India.
